Body Contouring
Weight loss, pregnancy, aging, and genetics can all contribute to problem areas that seem impossible to tone.
In some cases, Dr. Stephanie Peng recommends surgical body contouring to provide a lasting solution to excess skin and fat.

Patients Can Choose from Several Procedures
Do I Qualify for Treatment?
In order to be considered a candidate, you should be in good health and have realistic expectations of what plastic surgery can achieve for your unique body type. These procedures are not designed to achieve weight loss, so you should be at or near your goal weight.
During a consultation at our Plymouth office, Dr. Peng will take all the time necessary to learn about your:
- Concerns
- Goals
- Lifestyle
- Budget
Once you decide on which procedure or procedures are right for you, she will also educate you on how long your recovery should take. We have found that in order to ensure the best results, patients need to spend adequate time preparing for their recovery from the very start.
A less invasive procedure like liposuction will allow you to return to work and other obligations more quickly. Abdominoplasty or a buttock lift requires substantial care and downtime, and this is especially true for a more comprehensive treatment plan like a mommy makeover. A significant amount of the healing process relates to internal tissues, and a smooth, uncomplicated recovery period is critical to ensure beautiful, long-lasting results.
5-Star Reviews
One of the best doctors I've ever known. Since I first met with Dr Peng in October 2017 she has been open and caring. She listens to me before she makes suggestions on my care. That's because I can see she really cares!

Body Contouring Is Incredibly Common
Is Treatment Covered by Insurance?
Many who visit our Minneapolis practice ask this question. In some cases, the answer is yes, but the amount of coverage is limited. Your eligibility depends on whether the treatment is considered medically necessary.
Let's consider two scenarios. In the first, a large amount of excess tissue on a patient's abdomen results in chronic skin infections. Since surgery can alleviate this health concern, the patient might be eligible for insurance coverage of enough refinements to resolve the health issue. Any refinements beyond that point would require an out-of-pocket cost. In another, the patient is unhappy with stubborn fat on her hips, but the concern is purely cosmetic. Her treatment would be considered elective and therefore not eligible.
In order to receive an estimate of what you can expect to pay, you will need to meet with Dr. Peng. We accept CareCaredit® financing to cover out-of-pocket costs so that our patients can invest in the high quality of care they deserve.
Are the results that impressive?
